Mental Health

You're More Than a Skeleton

Reader(s) Note: I am not a professional expert or a certified doctor that you should reach out to for official help. This is just my thoughts. If you suffer from a mental health condition or feel like you're burning out- PLEASE seek proper help or talk to someone.

By definition, mental health is documented as "A person’s condition with regard to their psychological and emotional well-being".

So, with this black letter definition, what does this "actually" mean to individua(ls) and why are some (if not all in my opinion) “really” suffering daily. Please comment. I'd like to read your thoughts.

Strap in reader(s) - it's open Mic night and I have the stage.

Mental health conditions are common in every human. So don’t feel alone. Whether it be genic ( you were just born a certain way and can’t connect to “this reality”), have been scared / scarred from a young age, have too much on your “plate of life” with all of the demands we never agreed to and / or agreed to, have anxiety , feel stuck and go to extreme measures to get your point across or just feel totally empty due to “your” circumstance. The list can go on and on. Take it how you may or add to it.

YOU ARE NOT AND WILL NEVER BE ALONE!

We all battle with mental issues ( diagnosed or not ) every day. Not one person can say I’m wrong. We're all humans.

Let’s have a valuable discussion because we are all unique in our own “vessels” but different on our “perception” of reality. It's a grey / dark area we never dive into or discuss. So, me being me, let's talk about it.

Does it come from witnessing what “good” looks like and try to conform or fit into it?

Does it come from the suffocation of being submissive to the rules, regulation, laws and decisions we have to follow everyday to be an “honorable” citizen.

Does it come from burnout. Either taking on too much, too less, not achieving who "you" want to be or just can keep up with the “puppet masters” decisions ( in work, family or the politics).

Does it make sense to just start / stop grinding and / or take time disconnect.

Does it make sense to break away from a bad social group, workplace or personal engagement? Or will you be criticized, demonized or retaliated against no matter what you say or do.

If you feel like your mental health is being compromised speak up immediately. Don't procrastinate.

Take time to understand that we all have daily issues and by “making” yourself feel better can never do any good to you or other's by getting physical. There's no good outcome from a serious injury or death.

Don’t be ashamed of how you feel. We all "mask" it up and go it with. Some better than others. But- we all have a breaking point. Make things better for yourself. Your name and reputation will not be tarnished. It's a life decision that you - and only you - have to make.

Please speak to someone or seek medical help if your feeling down. There's a lot of good people out there that want to help. You just need to go - go get it.

Be well and cheers to another thousand years,
